About Troop 431

Building Tomorrow's Leaders Today

Troop 431, based in Seminole, Florida, is a thriving and active Boy Scout troop dedicated to helping young men grow into responsible, confident leaders. Chartered by Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, our troop provides a supportive environment where Scouts develop outdoor skills, perform community service, and work toward earning the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout.

We offer a well-rounded program that emphasizes leadership development, outdoor adventure, citizenship, and personal growth. Whether hiking local trails, attending summer camp, or participating in service projects, our Scouts learn by doing—gaining life skills, friendships, and memories that last a lifetime.

Our Mission

To prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.

The Scouting Journey

The Adventure of a Lifetime

Scouting offers young people experiences and opportunities they can't get anywhere else.

Outdoor Adventure

Scouts experience adventure through camping, hiking, swimming, and other outdoor activities that build confidence and self-reliance while appreciating nature.

Character Development

Through living the Scout Oath and Law, Scouts develop character traits like trustworthiness, loyalty, helpfulness, and courage that serve them throughout life.

Leadership

Scouts learn and practice leadership skills by leading patrols, planning activities, and participating in troop governance—valuable experience for future roles.

The Path of Advancement

Scouting's advancement program provides a ladder of achievement from Scout to Eagle. Each rank teaches essential skills and knowledge:

  • Scout: Learn the basics of scouting and begin your journey
  • Tenderfoot, Second Class, First Class: Develop outdoor, first aid, and citizenship skills
  • Star and Life: Demonstrate service and leadership while earning merit badges
  • Eagle: Complete a service project and fulfill leadership requirements

Each Scout progresses at their own pace, with plenty of support along the way. The journey itself provides countless opportunities for growth and adventure.

"In Scouting, a Scout is never an observer. He is part of the action. Wherever he is, whatever he does, he has a purpose and a plan."

- Lord Baden-Powell, Founder of Scouting
